The Music in Bass Hall concert series welcomes back Reggie Harris for a show on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Harris is a singer-songwriter, storyteller, and cultural ambassador on a mission to educate, entertain, and inspire. Throughout his long career, he has captivated audiences across the world with “songs of joy, hope, and freedom.”

A songwriter of great depth and passion, Harris writes from a personal sense of mission that merges a world wise point of view with a singularly hopeful stance that life, though often challenging, is filled with possibility and hope. His songs reveal thoughts about life and love and some of the deep aspects of the human experience and cover topics from his own personal journey to world issues and history.

Known for over 40 years as one-half of the eminently prominent duo, Kim & Reggie Harris, Harris continues to criss-cross the country, carrying the message of joy, unity, tolerance and peace through the powerful medium of live music. He combines spirituals and roots music, historic inspiration, and moving original songs that have earned him wide acclaim and respect from peers and audiences alike throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and around the world.
