The Orioles got hat-tricks from Elizabeth Gonyea and Teagan Kirby as five different Conant players scored against winless Franklin on Monday afternoon.

Bella Hayes scored twice and Rylee Herr and Olyvia Middleton each scored for Conant as well. Gonyea and Chelsea Dupuis had two assists each and Kirby, Lex Gallagher and Erin Weidner had one apiece.

“My girls played some really nice field hockey,” said head coach Jackie Brown, “good passing patterns and communication.”

Franklin has yet to score a goal this season and has been outscored 47-0 over five games.

“I told the Franklin coach to keep working hard because I was in her shoes a few years ago with Conant,” Brown said.

Conant (2-2) is at Kearsarge (2-3) on Wednesday and hosts Mascenic (2-2) for homecoming Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Cougars lost their third straight game Monday afternoon, albeit on the road against the No. 1 undefeated Green Giants.

ConVal (1-4) looks to break that streak Friday at 4 p.m. when they host Mascoma Valley (2-2).
