Franklin Pierce University has announced the appointment of Dr. Andrew Pollom as Dean of Student Affairs.
Pollom brings over 17 years of student life experience, most recently as the Associate Dean of Students at Lake Forest College in Illinois, where he managed all aspects of student support initiatives within the Office of Student Affairs. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Dean of Students for Residential Life and Student Conduct at Concordia University Chicago, where he formed and advised a First Year Residential Experience community and successfully managed student housing growth.
“Andrew’s experience and enthusiasm will help strengthen our student services planning and programming in addition to supporting retention initiatives. We are excited to welcome him to Franklin Pierce University,” said Dr. Kim Mooney, president of Franklin Pierce University.
Pollom has taught higher education courses relating to college transition and organizational behavior as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer. He has published and presented his research on various aspects of student life, including under-represented student populations, organizational culture and student success. Pollom earned his Doctorate of Education from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinios and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University.
