A hiker suffered a head injury on Mount Monadnock on Saturday and was rescued by state park staff and volunteer hikers.
Lynne Hadley, 67, of Norristown, Pennsylvania was descending the White Dot Trail around 11:15 a.m. Saturday when she slipped, fell and sustained a head injury, according to a press release issued by New Hampshire Fish and Game. Monadnock State Park staff EMTs evaluated Hadley on the scene and then assisted her on foot to an ambulance waiting at the Old Toll Road.
Passing hikers volunteered to lend their services to the rescue efforts and helped Hadley to the ambulance. She was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for treatment.
