Players audiences can spend this Fourth of July with Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas and get two tickets for the price of 1; 2 adult tickets for $40! A deal worthy of fireworks, indeed.

“Gertrude Stein and a Companion” features Players’ favorites and Broadway veterans Becky London and Dale Hodges in this tender, witty, and unconventional love story. Over the course of their 40-year relationship, Stein and Toklas helped to shape the artistic landscape of the 20th century through their own brilliant work and by championing the work of others.

In this play by Win Wells, Hodges and London not only embody Toklas and Stein throughout various times in their lives, but bring to life their contemporaries such as Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and more. As they glide from past to present, the fierce drive, artistic determination, and devoted love between Stein and Toklas creates a not-to-be missed evening.

Patrons can take advantage of this one-night-only ticket offer in one of two ways: to book in advance, call the box office at (603) 924-7585 and mention that you’d like “$40 on the 4th” tickets, or purchase in person at the door on July 4.

Make your plans to join the Players for “Gertrude Stein and a Companion” this Thursday, July 4 at 7:30 p.m. While this offer is only good for the performance on July 4, all other ticket options are available for the run of the show. “Gertrude Stein and a Companion” runs from July 3 to July 14 at the Peterborough Players.
