The Harris Center hosted the annual Solar Sprint at Adams Playground in Peterborough on Tuesday. The event pitted several middle school solar car teams against each other in a series of races. South Meadow School swept the day, with winners in the following categories:
First Place in Speed: The Eggcelerator, created by Francisco James and Miles Higgins
Junkyard Wars winner (car made from spare parts on the day of the event): Coker Car 2.0, created by Caleb Cloutier and Carter Rousseau
Kids’ Choice Award: Turbo Turtle, created by Bella Starr and Brooklyn Sainsbury
