The town is looking for at least two alternate members to join the five-member board according to Assistant to the Land Use Boards Ashley Brudnick-Destromp.
Brudnick-Destromp said alternate members are important for the board as it meets on an as-needed basis, sometimes with as little as a two- to three-week notice.
Because of this, there are times when board members cannot attend meetings.
There are also two open seats on the board, but Brudnick-Destromp said those positions have been applied for. Those applications will be brought forward to the select board for approval.
The board meets when there are applications requesting variances from the town’s zoning ordinances on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Brudnick-Destromp said the board met four times last year.
