To the editor:
I am supporting Bill Taylor for election to the Peterborough Select Board.
After meeting with Bill for an hour and a half, I am convinced that he will be an effective member of the Select Board. He spoke very positively about Select Board members Karen Hatcher and Tyler Ward and the staff, all of whom he has met with one on one.
I believe that Bill will bring some new skills to the Select Board. He is inquisitive, willing to ask challenging questions and will not be a status-quo board member. I believe that he has what we need at this time and that he will work well with staff and the other Select Board members. He is dedicated to working hard to support what makes Peterborough special.
Bill does recognize that we are a strong, well-run community but that there are challenges ahead and that we are faced with growing financial realities, including rising taxes, making it difficult to retain or attract younger people and creating problems for many on fixed incomes. He is willing and ready to take on these challenges.
I urge you to go to the polls on May 14 and cast your vote for Bill Taylor for Select Board.
