Calling all maple syrup producers! The Monadnock Ledger-Transcript’s 39th annual Maple Syrup Contest will take place on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. at Cooper’s Hill Public House in Peterborough. Whether you are a backyard producer or run a commercial syrup operation, you are invited to participate in this fun event. Entries will be judged in a one-pint clear glass canning jar. We will accept entries containing 16 ounces of syrup in any container and transfer the entry into a jar prior to judging. A complete entry form must be taped to the lid. Look for an entry form in upcoming editions of the Ledger-Transcript or contact us at 924-7172 for more information. Multiple samples for various grades will be accepted.
