An Antrim man died in a single car crash in Hillsborough on Friday night, police said.
Allen Elliot, 34, was traveling west on West Main Street around 9 p.m. when his vehicle spun around 180 degrees and left the roadway, Hillsborough Lt. Derek M. Brown said in an email Monday.
The driverโs side of the vehicle then struck a utility pole in the area of Tractor Supply Co.
โThere were attempts to resuscitate Elliot on scene, however, he succumbed to his injuries,โ Brown said.
Brown did not have any details about the specifics of Elliotโs injuries.
A female passenger was taken to Concord Hospital with serious injuries, according to a Hillsborough Police Department press release.
Brown said Monday that the passenger has since been treated and released from the hospital.
Police say alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. There are no pending charges.
