Town Meeting Results

Sharon residents approved an amended budget of $375,128 at Town Meeting Tuesday night, up $13,500 from the proposed figure.

Voters approved all warrant articles, including $35,000 for the town highway capital reserve fund and $18,332 to settle the Fairpoint Communication’s pole tax abatement litigation, during the one hour and 33 minute meeting.ย

Two articles were tabled to help offset the increase to the operating budget. Most of the increase was due to the town’s assessment review, required every five years.
