The Jaffrey Civic Center will host an Acrylics exhibit by Portland, Maine artist John Driscoll from Friday, Feb. 15 through Mar. 15.

Educated at Yale University and Tufts Medical School, Driscoll practiced cardiology in Portland for thirty years. During those years, he painted sporadically. In retirement, he has written and published both poetry and short fiction. One year ago, Driscoll began painting full-time.

His upcoming show is representative of that work and is dedicated to his closest friend and fellow artist, Paul Lionel Sieg, who passed away last spring.

There will be an opening reception with refreshments in honor of the exhibit, held on Friday, Feb. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

The Jaffrey Civic Center is located at 40 Main Street, Jaffrey, New Hampshire, next to library. Parking is available in the rear of the building. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
