The Francestown Improvements and Historical Society (FIHS) is offering an opportunity for people to see the renovations completed thus far at the Francestown Village Store this Saturday.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., come to the store for coffee and donuts, to meet friends and neighbors, and to check out the progress.
FIHS member Sarah Pyle told the Ledger-Transcript in December that the goal was to have the store – which was previously open for more than 200 years before closing on July 6, 2017 – open by this spring or summer.
The FIHS owns the building but plans to search for a proprietor to operate the store under a lease agreement.
All structural work to the building was completed last year, the first phase of the construction process.
Phase one of construction – which included all structural work and repairs to the building, built in 1814 – has been completed according to Francestown Improvement and Historical Society (FIHS) member Sarah Pyle.
