In January 2017, a total of 19.3 tons of marketable recyclables were processed at the Jaffrey Transfer Station and is broken down as follows:
Mixed Paper: 12.2
Cardboard: 3.6
Plastics: 2.1
Aluminum: 0.4
These items represent approximately $3,746 in estimated revenue to market. In addition, 1,963 pounds of electronics were accepted for recycling resulting in a disposal fee avoidance of $86. The total savings to the town for the month the month of January is $5,431.
