The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District has named David Reilly as the district’s next facilities manager.
Reilly comes to the district with 15 years of experience in facilities management, most recently working as a facilities/maintenance manager for Omnicare of Northern Massachusetts, according to a press release from the district.
“David has considerable strengths in management and interpersonal relationships,” said Superintendent Reuben Duncan. “He will be a great asset to our team.”
Reilly was approved by the School Board on Feb. 6. He will start on Feb. 28 and make an annual salary of $62,000 plus benefits.
The search for a new facilities manager began when former facilities manager William Sudsbury told Business Manager Carrie Broderick through a letter dated Nov. 10 that he was resigning. No reason was given for his departure, which occurred on Nov. 28. Sudsbury had been employed by the district for about four years.
Reilly will be responsible for the maintenance of buildings, systems, equipment, grounds, and surrounding areas of all district-owned facilities and athletic fields. He will also serve as a resource to the district on matters of school building practices as they related to policies and procedures, and will guide Duncan and the School Board on future operational and capital expenditures.
