A Rindge man has been arrested and extradited to Connecticut after being accused of sexually assaulting someone under the age of 15.

James Saucier, 19, was arrested by Rindge police on Jan. 13 on a warrant out of Middletown, Connecticut, charging him with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was extradited to Connecticut on Feb. 1 and arraigned at theย Connecticut Superior Court, Middlesex Judicial District the next day.ย 

The alleged incident occurred on Oct. 31, 2016. A court official at the Connecticut Superior Court could not provide any details about the alleged crimeย as the warrant has been sealed.ย 

Currently, Saucier is out on a $15,000 non-surety bond. When out on a non-surety bond, Saucier will not have to pay anything as long as he continues to show up to his scheduled court dates.ย 

Other conditions of his release are that Saucier resides with his father,ย enter into treatment, andย have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 without supervision.ย 

His next scheduled court date is March 2. Saucier has not entered a plea at this time.ย 

Neither a prosecutor or public defender has been assigned to the case at this time, according to a court official.ย
