Bennington has nine open elected official positions across seven separate offices this year.
Select Board member Jeffrey Rose’s term is up this year. Members of the Select Board serve a three-year term.
There is a slot open on the Planning Board. Members serve a three-year term.
The town is also looking to fill two water and sewer commissioner positions. One of the positions is a one-year term and the other is a three-year term.
A trustee of the trust funds, a library trustee, a cemetery trustee, and two Zoning Board of Adjustment positions are also up for grabs.
The filing periods begins on Jan. 25 and runs through Feb. 3 until 5 p.m. Candidates can sign up at the town clerk’s office.
