As snow began to fall throughout the Monadnock region on Thursday, the Jaffrey and Rindge Recreation Departments issued challenges to their respective towns: “snow” us what you are made of and build your best snowman.
The Spontaneous Snowman Challenge, which was inspired by the Colebrook Recreation Department, encourages people of all ages to get outside and build their best snowmen at any point throughout the winter season.
Jaffrey residents interested in joining the competition can send a photo to the Jaffrey Parks and Recreation Facebook page or email recreation@townofjaffrey.com. Rindge residents can send their photos to the Rindge Recreation Department Facebook page, or email sports@town.rindge.nh.us. Photos will be collected today through March 20.
After March 20, a judge will look at the entire season’s snowmen and select a winner for each town. The winner will be awarded a seasonal gift.
The snowman must be made of snow. More than one snowman can be submitted per person. People of all ages are encouraged to participate.
