Icy road conditions on Christmas Eve led to a single-vehicle accident that sent a Jaffrey woman to the hospital.
Jaffrey police responded to the accident at 1:40 p.m. on Mountain Road, finding a 2003 Subaru Legacy, driven by Miranda Giles, 24, on its roof. Giles was already out of the vehicle when police arrived, according to police.
Giles had lost control of her Subaru while traveling around a corner, causing her to over correct and cross into the opposite lane of travel.
Giles’ Subaru would eventually collide with a large rock, which flipped the vehicle onto its roof.
Giles was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital, appearing to have suffered minor injuries.
Her vehicle was towed from the scene, according to the police report.
