Jaffrey-Rindge’s School Board was treated Monday to a presentation from AP History students who recently took an educational trip to Nantucket.
Five of the 15 students who visited the island on Oct. 16 and 17 came to the board, presenting short video clips and photos.
“I was having fun and learning at the same time,” said student Elizabeth Graff. “That doesn’t happen on every school trip.”
AP History teacher Seth Farmer also told the board about an upcoming opportunity for four Conant High School students.
They will be going to the presidential inauguration in January with a group of Franklin Pierce University students and faculty, as well as other high school students from throughout the state.
Farmer said Conant students will use four of the 16 seats allotted for high school students. ConVal students will also be attending.
At the meeting, Superintendent Reuben Duncan handed out a draft of potential warrant articles to the School Board, in preparation for a discussion on Jan. 9.
