Come in from the cold and warm up watching MoCo Arts’ Storytime Theatre perform The Little Red Hen on Sunday, January 8 at 2:00pm at the MoCo Arts Black Box Theatre in Keene. This 45 minute musical is a great opportunity for young children to see live theatre in a comfortable setting, bring the whole family!
The Little Red Hen is a barnyard tale featuring a hard-working and determined chicken who needs help making bread. The story takes a twist as the farm animals learn the importance of teamwork and cooperation. Performed by some of MoCo Arts youngest students, The Little Red Hen boasts boot scootin’ hoe-down fun and lots of laughs. This musical theatre performance will have everyone tapping along to the barnyard tunes.
“Our students have been hard at work learning lines, singing songs and practicing their dance moves for this great family musical,” says Danielle Fitzpatrick, Artistic Director of Young Arts at MoCo Arts. “This is a story about teamwork and cooperation, told through song and dance. Kids of all ages will have a great time cheering on the Hen, and all of his barnyard friends.”
Storytime Theatre is MoCo’s musical theatre class for children ages 4 years through 2nd grade. Students learn lines, cues and stage direction then perform a fully produced musical at the end of each semester.
