With plenty of snow to go around, the ConVal Alpine ski team was able to get its season going on time this year, as they hosted a meet at Crotched Mountain Tuesday.

Super soph Jaclyn Clark was the top finisher for ConVal, as she took third place in 1:07.38, just three-tenths of a second out of second place, behind Hollis-Brookline stalwart Stephanie Menard. Derryfieldโ€™s Miranda Shilling scorched the slopes on her way to first, at 1:02.94.

In the boysโ€™ race, two Cougars cracked the top ten, as Noah Crason finished 9th in 1:05.74, with Keenan Wilson right behind him in 1:05.81.

Derryfieldโ€™s Tucker Ormiston won the race in one minute flat after a terrific first run of 29.81.

The rest of the Cougar boys who finished are as follows: Andrew Stockwell, 29th; Ben Agnarsson, 37th and Alex McCall, 56th.

Wilton-Lyndeboroughโ€™s Ian Van Ham raced, but did not finish.

The remainder of the ConVal girls who finished are: Jill Karlicek, 13th; Marina McMahon, 16th; Fenia Benet-Higgins, 17th; Anna Gombas, 22nd; Daisy Young, 34th and Sage Cawthern, 40th.

As a team, the ConVal boys were fifth and the girls were third.
