The Conant girls got a good win at Campbell last week and followed it up with a solid victory in the Keene Holiday Tournament. At Keene State, the Orioles beat Leland & Gray 46-40, thanks to the leadership of senior co-captain Megan Wheeler, who scored 21 points. Wheeler went 12-13 from the free-throw line.
Senior co-captains Daria Aho and Grace Chadbourne added 12 points and five points, respectively, and Mariah Chamberlain had six.
“Good team win with a lot of contributions from everyone,” said head coach Brian Troy.
Since Saturday’s holiday games were snowed out, the tournament was set to conclude Monday night after press time, when Conant was expected to play Monadnock.
Conant (2-2) is set to host Hopkinton tonight at 6:30 p.m.
