The Crotched Mountain Foundation will hold an informational session about trusts on Dec. 12 at noon. The session will take place at ATECH Services in Concord and is open to the public.
The session will feature trust professionals Michelle Arruda of Devine, Millimet & Branch, PA, and Joyce Hillis of Cleveland, Waters and Bass, P.A., who will explain trusts and how trusts can help individuals achieve a variety of estate and tax planning goals. Topics will include providing for asset management, privacy, providing financially for loved ones and how to determine if a trust is appropriate.
Hillis is a director at Cleveland, Waters and Bass, P.A., in Concord. She earned her B.A. from College of the Holy Cross and her J.D. from New England School of Law, and is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She counsels clients regarding estate planning, fiduciary responsibilities, gift and estate tax matters, trust administration, and estate administration. Hillis is a member of NHBAโs tax and trusts and estates sections, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the NH Estate Planning Council, and the NH Trust Council.
Arruda is a shareholder at Devine, Millimet & Branch, PA in Concord. She provides legal counsel to individuals, families, and fiduciaries on a variety of trust, estate, and tax matters, including estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, gift and estate taxes, fiduciary responsibility, and estate and trust administration.Arruda earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1992. She is an ACTEC fellow; a member and past president of the N.H. Estate Planning Council; and a member of the N.H. Bar Associationโs Trust & Estate and Taxation Law Sections.
