Keene-based music and movement program for young children, Music Together for Monadnock Families, will start it’s Winter Session in early-January, and is offering a free demo class on December 7th at 10:00am at Langdon Place Keene. Families with children 6 and under are invited to join the residents for a demo Music Together class and holiday sing-along, with snacks and visiting time to follow.
“Singing, playing simple percussion instruments and dancing together is an amazing way of creating immediate community” says Nancy Salwen, Director of Music Together for Monadnock Families. “It’s all very playful and lighthearted but this is the way children learn best. The elderly residents love seeing the kids and singing along with us. It’s really quite magical. The holiday sing-along demo is great fun and an excellent way to get a sense of what Music Together class is all about” The Winter Music Together session will start in January and registration is open now. The 10-week sessions of 45-minute classes are offered on Tuesdays at 9:30am in Peterborough and Wednesdays at 10:00am at Langdon Place in Keene.
