A Jaffrey woman has pleaded guilty to performing sex acts on a 14-year-old boy, according to court documents.
Myrna Baez, 31, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of sexual assault and two misdemeanor counts of sexual assault during a plea and sentencing hearing on Thursday at the Cheshire County Superior Court. Baez entered a capped plea, according to court documents.
Baez will spend the next two to seven years in state prison after pleading guilty to one of the felony charges, according to court documents, with a pretrial credit of 171 days. It is also recommended that she participate in drug and alcohol treatment and counseling and the sexual offender program, and pay restitution in an amount that has yet to be determined.
Baez also received a three and a half to seven year sentence, all suspended for 10 years, for the other felony charge.
For the misdemeanor charges, Baez received a 180-day sentence with a pretrial confinement of 180 days and a 12-month sentence all suspended for 10 years.
Baez was initially charged with two counts of felonious sexual assault: forcible sodomy, after turning herself into the Littleton Police Department on Nov. 30, 2015. Jaffrey police were originally alerted of the crimes on Oct. 30, according to an affidavit.
Baez admitted to having sexual relations on two occasions with a teenager, in an interview with Jaffrey police on Nov. 3.
The boy’s mother provided police with information about the alleged incidents, according to an affidavit.
The first incident occurred on or about July 28. The minor was in Baez’s home, with Baez’s son and another boy also present.
The second incident occurred somewhere on or about August 28 and occurred in the living room.
The minor was interviewed by the Child Advocacy Center in Keene on Nov. 23, according to court documents. The minor spoke of engaging in sex acts with Baez on “several” occasions.
