To the editor:
To all the women voting for Hillary because “She is a woman”… shame on you.
The reason to vote for a candidate is more than “She’s a woman” or “He’s so handsome.” The same goes for reasons not to vote for a candidate. “He’s disrespectful to women and a pig”… really? Then Jack Kennedy and Bill Clinton had no place in the White House because they were/are known womanizers. Lyndon Johnson used to hold press conferences while sitting on the porcelain throne.
Stop being such a prude. Men talk like pigs. So don’t women? Those of you who “never” said or thought bad things about anyone else… all three of you… get real. If you watch TV today most programs are nothing but soft porn and crude language.
The reasons to vote for a candidate are simple. Which candidate stands for you? Will make the U.S. safer for you? Will protect the elderly, unborn children, our way of life, the Second Amendment, etc? There are many good reasons to vote for one candidate over another.
If the candidate you plan to vote for is an incumbent, consider this. During their term, have things changed? If things have not changed for the better or have gotten worse, why continue to vote for them? Do you think putting them back into office for another term is actually going to make a difference? If you think it will, call me, I’ve got a bridge for sale.
This is one of the most important elections of our lives. You can’t make your choice because of gender or smooth talking. Politicians know how to make you think they want what you want, while having a hidden agenda that best suits them and their cronies. Other candidates blunder and speak poorly because they don’t have the political polish. This year’s decision is difficult as our choices are between Dumb and Dumber.
My Dad left this earth leaving us with many great one-liners. “Vote the bums out” works here.
