ConVal beat Conant in a field hockey crosstown rivalry game Monday afternoon, 7-1. Sophomore Alyssa Janoch started ConVal off with her first career goal, with the assist going to Fenia Benet-Higgins. Conant answered about a minute later. Then, sophomore Dee Kashulines (with help once again from Benet-Higgins) found the net. After that, it was all ConVal, as Kashulines, Kelly O’Sullivan, Hannah Garfinkle, KJ Ammon and Natalie LaFleur all scored.
“It was exciting to see so many different individuals combine to create our team’s success,” said ConVal coach Carrie Whittemore after the game.
ConVal (2-4) travels to Milford (2-3) Monday at 4 p.m. Conant (0-7) hosts Mascenic (4-2) on Saturday at 10 a.m. for homecoming.
