September is National Square Dance Month and Monadnock Squares is offering two free Intro to Square Dance classes and a series of classes.

Anyone is welcome to attend the free introductory sessions to be held on Wednesdays, Sept. 14 and 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keene Recreation Center.

A series of classes will be offered starting Wednesday, Sept. 28. The basic level instruction for modern western square dancing will run for 10 weeks on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. No experience is necessary and all are welcome to sign up.

The cost is $40 payable by cash or check. Arrive 15 minutes early for sign up.

The Monadnock Squares is square dance club that has been dancing in Keene since 1961. On Wednesday evenings from September through June, club members are at the Keene Recreation Center, honing their skills. Dances are held on second Saturdays, welcoming guests from other square dance clubs.
