The Peterborough Recreation Department is running two trips for kids entering 3rd through 8th grade. Space is limited; register by going to www.peterboroughrec.com or stopping by the office at 64 Union Street.
The first is a trip to the Flume Gorge in Franconia: Enjoy a 2-mile, self-guided nature walk through the Flume Gorge, a spectacular natural chasm. Along the walk you will discover covered bridges, amazing waterfalls, a scenic pool, and incredible mountain views. Kids can crawl through and explore caves along the way.
Please wear sturdy shoes, bring a packed lunch and water bottle. There is a store up there so it is up to you if you want to provide spending money.

On Aug. 25, kids will be heading out to Water Country Water Park. This water park is touted as New Englandโs largest water park.
Swim suit, sunscreen and towel is necessary. You may bring a lunch, but no glass items allowed into the park They do have food stands so the option to bring money for food remains.
