A Rindge resident and noted authority on quilting will present at the upcoming Quilt Expo in Madison, Wisconsin.
Bobbie Bergquist, co-owner of Quilter’s Treasure, which produces unique fabrics for quilting, will lead two sessions of a lecture titled “Appliqué for Cheaters and Stained Glass Quilts.” Hundreds of lecture and presentation sessions at Quilt Expo provide an opportunity for quilters of all skill levels to acquire new ideas from leading quilting educators.
Quilt Expo, presented by Wisconsin Public Television, will run Thursday, Sept. 8, through Saturday, Sept. 10, in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. An estimated 20,000 quilt lovers will attend.
Other highlights will include a 10-category quilt contest exhibit, a vendor mall with the latest sewing and quilting products from more than 200 vendors, a prize raffle and the opportunity to meet Nancy Zieman, host of public television’s “Sewing With Nancy,” as well as other nationally known celebrity presenters.
