We are more similar than different

To the editor:

Regardless of our family heritage, religious beliefs, gender preference or political views, I think it’s important to remember that we are all more similar than different.

We all call this special part of the world home and value the beauty of the Monadnock region and its rich history. At Old Home Days, we line up along the streets together to watch the home-grown parades.

At weddings, funerals and at town meetings, we are often shoulder to shoulder. We value our friends and family. We’d help a neighbor or even a stranger in need.

At the end of the day, we all want food on the table, good health, a better future for our children, and to be reasonably happy.

We are more similar than different.
