Thirty-two students from communities across the Monadnock region are getting ready to tour ProjectShakespeare’s 2016 Summer Season double-feature of Shakespeare In Love and Macbeth.  These energetic and talented young theatre artists will be touring to eight towns bringing quality youth theatre to your own backyard!

The 2016 Summer Season

Project Shakespeare Too!  (ages 7 – 14)  Shakespeare In Love – song, dance, speeches and scenes fromShakespeare’s best-loved plays – Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, 12th Night, and As You Like It.Directed by Christopher Commander; Megan Hamblen, Stage Manager and Genevieve Kuhlmann, Choreographer. 

 

Project Shakespeare’s Mainstage Company (ages 12 – 18) and selected PS Too! Students – MACBETH -A haunting story of ambition and its dark consequences. Returning from war, Macbeth and Banquo encounter three weird sisters.  Their prophecy triggers the rise and fall of Macbeth from military hero to ruthless tyrant as he and his wife seize the throne of Scotland. Directed by Deborah Shakespeare Thurber. Patrick Sherlock and Tor Petrov will alternate performances playing Macbeth and Macduff.  Sophia Massidda, Eve Pierce and Mya Poluchov will alternate playing Lady Macbeth.

All performances are at 6pm. Tickets prices are $10 for adults/ $5 for seniors and students; children under 12 are free. Tickets are available at the door ½ hour prior to performance.  In the event of rain, outdoor performances will be moved to an indoor venue except the Greenfield performance.
