New Ipswich police are investigating a single-vehicle accident on Route 123 that killed a Wilton man July 6.
Joseph Bills, 70, of Wilton, was driving a FedEx truck on Route 123, also known as Highbridge Road, when it left the road and rolled over.
Bills was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at Monadnock Community Hospital.
The accident occurred at about 2:55 p.m. The ensuing investigation left Route 123 closed for about two and a half hours.
The vehicle was for FedEx ground delivery. It was a 2005 Freightliner, 6-wheel delivery truck that rolled and rested on its passenger side on the northbound shoulder of Route 123.
That investigation into the causes of the accident is ongoing, but police have reported that speed and alcohol do not appear to have been factors.
An autopsy was scheduled for July 7.
