Two popular summer running series start up tonight, Thursday, June 23.
The Summer Sizzler series enters its 20th season with a race at Oak Park in Greenfield. Over 200 races have been run under the Sizzler name over the years. Registration starts at 5:45 p.m. and the starting gun is at 6:30. Entry fee is $5.
Elsewhere, the ack Murphy Thursday Night Summer fun runs also start tonight, Thursday, June 23.
The series, in honor of late, longtime ConVal running coach Jack Murphy, is every Thursday night at 6 p.m. at South Meadow School in Peterborough. There is no entry fee and the run is open to all ages.
