The bellringers group Chime In! Music with a Mission will present a free concert at the Old Meeting House in Francestown on Saturday, June 25, at 7 p.m.
Originally organized to ring in worship services, this group soon received invitations to ring at other churches, local elderly housing facilities, nursing homes, and local events. Popular performers in venues around New England and New York, ChimeIn! seeks to engage people in participatory music, educating the public in the art of handbell ringing and the history of sacred and secular music.
In 2015, the group performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Volunteer bell ringers are invited to join them at a 6 p.m. rehearsal and perform in the concert. There will be extra bells of all sorts for anyone who would like to participate.
A donation of $15 or more will be appreciated.
