Kevin Avard filed for re-election for the New Hampshire Senate in District 12 which includes Greenville, Mason, New Ipswich, aRindge, and Nashua wards 1, 2 and 5.

Avard has served one term in the Senate and currently serves on the Education Committee and the Health and Human Services Committee.

โ€œI am incredibly honored to represent my friends and neighbors in District 12 and to ensure that they have a voice in Concord. I will continue to work hard every day to earn their support, their trust, and their vote,โ€ said Avard.

Among Avardโ€™s priorities during his first term was keeping the state on a fiscally responsible path, reducing the burdens on small businesses which are important to New Hampshireโ€™s economy and dealing with the heroin and opioid crisis.

โ€œI was proud to work with Senate President Morse and Majority Leader Bradley to pass a fiscally conservative pro-business budget, that took action to fight the current opioid crisis that is destroying families across our state and fought to protect property rights. There is still more work that needs to be done and I will continue to fight for tax policy that encourages business growth and entrepreneurship, promote local control of education, and fight against projects like the Kinder Morgan pipeline that infringe on our personal property rights,โ€ continued Avard.

He and his family live in Nashua.
