Letterboxing 101 will be offered at the James A. Tuttle Library on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Letterboxing combines artistic ability with ‘treasure-hunts’ in parks, forests, and cities around the world, with thousands hidden right here in New Hampshire.
Participants seek out hidden letterboxes by cracking codes, following clues and collecting images from hard-carved stamps. Local letterboxer and Antrim library staff member Ann Putnam will share a little history, simple tools, and the materials and online resources needed to get started, including a special beginner’s hunt to practice in the library.
No experience or supplies are required to participate. The presentation and practice hunt will each take about 20 minutes. For more information, call 588-588-6786.
