After winning over St. Thomas Aquinas, ConVal baseball drew mighty Portsmouth in the second round.

The Clippers, fresh off a 25-0 first-round win over Merrimack Valley, came out strong, but ConVal took the wind out their sails early.

An Isaac Blake to Danny Allen to Will Clarke double play got ConVal going defensively.

Senior Matt Davis pitched a strong complete game in his final appearance for ConVal, giving up five hits and three earned runs.

Ultimately, two home runs and an error gave Portsmouth all the offense theyโ€™d need to come away with a 4-1 victory.

The Cougars finished their season at 9-9 overall, including playoffs.
