The ConVal softball team picked the right day to have their best two games of the season, as the Cougars blew out visiting Lebanon in both halves of a senior day doubleheader.

ConVal outscored Lebanon 39-11 in the two games, winning the first 21-9 and the second 18-2.

Seniors Hunter Anderson, Sasha Brock, McKenzie Armstrong and Maryssa Williams were honored between games, their last on their home field.

Anderson went 2-4 with two RBI, doubling and walking twice; Brock went 3-7 with four walks, an RBI and two stolen bases; Armstrong went 2-5 with four runs scored and Williams went 3-5 with two RBI and a triple.

The future of ConVal looked good, too, as Hayley Cheviot picked up a pitching win in the first game and drove in four runs. Freshman Rachyl Parslow started the second and won, driving in another four. Junior first baseman Hannah Reinfrank homered once and narrowly missed another; sheโ€™d end up with two triples and five RBI on the day. Freshman shortstop Leah Stone also homered; sheโ€™d go 6-9 with five RBI.

ConVal (3-12) has one game remaining, at Manchester West.
