The directors of the Peterborough, Jaffrey and Hancock libraries would like to thank their communities and the region at large for their support of our Big Community Read, featuring local author Sy Montgomery’s “Soul of an Octopus.”
Hundreds of folks came to our book discussions, animal programs, lectures and keynote address, all centered around the themes of animal behavior and consciousness, environmentalism and marine life. Thanks to our many presenters who helped all of us understand these issues better, and thanks to the people who attended!
In particular, thank you to Sy Montgomery, who let us use her book as our centerpiece and gave a very engaging presentation to more than a hundred people – the highlight of this joint community reading project.
