The ConVal track and field team competed at the Pelham Invitational Saturday. Ree Bell had a fantastic day, improving nearly four feet in the shotput and taking third overall in the process. Clare Veverka ran 11:47.68 to place 2nd in the 3200 meter.
The boysโ saw a pair of strong performances from Daniel Kashulines. Kashulines was 5th in the 400 meter dash and anchored the 6th-place 4×400 meter relay team which included Dalton Coyne, Evan Coyne, and Josh Fulton. Dalton Coyne had also placed 5th in the 800 meter run.
Senior Steele Tamok had a strong day, breaking the 5:00 barrier in the mile and finishing 5th in the 3200 meter run. Liam Baldwin was 4th in the triple jump.
ConVal heads to Souhegan today at 4 p.m.
WLC, Conant and Mascenic all headed to Belmont on Saturday. For WLC, Samuel Bailey finished third in the shotput, and Emma Kross finished fourth. Kross was also fourth in the 100 meter.
For Conant, Tyler Sands continued his dominance, winning the 100, 200 and discus throw.
Freshman Gage Parker took third in the 100 meter. Senior Aaron Bresnick won the 400 meter. Ethan Ahern and Ben Pyhala were 4-5 in the 1,600 meter.
Conant freshman Sonya Goddard won the girlsโ 100 meter. Julia Aho was second in the 800 meter. Isabella Mormando was second in the 3,200 meter. Rachel Ricard was second in discus.
For Mascenic, Avery Traffie and Jake Movsessian were 1-2 in the 3,200, with Logan Thibault in fourth and Conantโs Evan Schuyler in fifth. Alec Talbot was second in javelin.
Sam Bilodeau was second in the girlsโ 1,600. Victoria Bostwick, Alexis Defraga and Kylie Bane went 3-4-5 in the 800.
