New owners are in the process of purchasing the former home of J.P. Stephen’s Restaurant and Tavern.
Rindge resident Clark Miller and his wife Tera have a sale pending to purchase the restaurant property, and hope to close by mid-May. If all goes well, according to Miller, the new restaurant will open this summer.
“My wife and I have talked about this for years, and we finally have the opportunity,” said Miller. “We are looking forward to bringing our ideas to Rindge.”
The new restaurant will be called Emma’s 321 Pub & Kitchen. Emma was the Miller’s 15-year-old golden retriever, who passed away this fall. The number 321 is the sum of Routes 119 and 202, where the property is located. The restaurant’s menu will feature “homestyle” options, including burgers, sandwiches, pasta and steak.
