Men’s tennis FPU drops one to Le Moyne

The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team was defeated, 8-1, on Saturday by Le Moyne in Northeast-10 Conference play at Franklin Pierce. With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 4-12.

The lone point of the day for the Ravens came at first singles, courtesy of freshman James Bisazza, who locked horns in a three-set struggle with Le Moyne junior James Gayvert. Bisazza won the first set and Gayvert swept the second, before Bisazza pulled out the tiebreak set for a 7-5, 0-6, 10-6 victory. Le Moyne did not cede a set to the Ravens across the remaining five singles sets.

Franklin Pierce did hold its own across three doubles matches, though it was unable to pull out a win. Le Moyne won each of the doubles matches by identical, 8-5 scores.
