When will we denounce war?

To the editor:

Who can object to this most beautiful time of the year – birds chirping, bulbs popping up, even motorcycles on the road. And Easter, with its promise of a better world.

Our creator intended for humanity to live in a better existence than we find ourselves in today.

Acts of terror are growing daily — the Taliban terror group has stated that they are stronger than ever and count their success in the number of people they kill.

Shakespeare wrote, “The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.”

Let us suppose Jesus and Muhammed were to appear together on earth.

No doubt they would join forces to correct the evil we find in the world today.

So I ask: When will we denounce war and poverty and go on to the existence that our creator intended for us.

I truly love my country, but we must elect honest and good people to lead us into the future.
