Shocked, throughout this election I’ve been shocked. The issues have been the most diverse and interesting than any other presidential election I have ever seen, with the most unpopular and messed up outcomes I could have ever expected. I would have never expected Donald Trump to do even close to well in this election. I honestly fear what will happen if he becomes president, because multiple countries have said they will go to war with us if he talks to them.
If people look back on what Donald Trump has said to people then you will see he insults almost everyone he talks to and more. For example, when he said Senator John McCain wasn’t a war hero. In my opinion he was a hero for surviving more than five years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
On that note, that is why I would not ever want to vote for Donald Trump. Why would you? We don’t need a businessman in office, we need a real politician.
I attended a Donald Trump “Rally” in Milford, New Hampshire, and in my opinion all he did was tell people what they wanted to hear. Nothing original came out of his mouth, that is why he had Senator Scott Brown and his daughter do the talking. He talked about building a wall and how he is the victim of protesting. I never heard him say one thing about drug control or same sex marriage, which are issues that are extremely relevant in this day and age.
When I attended a Jeb Bush Town Hall in Peterborough, New Hampshire, I heard him talk about drug control. He told the story of how his daughter was an addict and how drugs affected her life. Unfortunately, did not say what his plan to take ISIS down, but to go to his website to see his whole plan to take ISIS down, which was a letdown because with all the chaos it’s more than relevant, with the suicide bomber in Brussels Belgium, right next door to France.
Why would we want to let a businessman who has no experience leading this country in any way take care of an international problem that with one wrong move can kill a lot of men and women?
Unlike Donald trump, Ted Cruz actually mentioned in detail what his plan was to take down ISIS and his view on the Second Amendment when I attended his Town Hall Meeting in Peterborough.
Cruz inspired me to think about the issues and what I want out of a president. I may be young and still finding my political identity, but I can see him being the next president.
