Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will host retired FBI special agent Colton Seale for a workshop on having better conversations Monday, May 8, at 6 p.m.

This workshop will dive into what leads people to feel felt out-of-sync and how to improve communication. Seale’s workshop integrates more than a decade of research conducted for the FBI and his experience applying this methodology around the world. Participants will learn how to better navigate conflict, improve their ability to engage in difficult conversations, better gather information and uncover and contextualize risk. Registration is preferred but not required, and the event is free.

Seale, a Peterborough resident, had a 22-year career as an FBI special agent. He conducted thousands of interviews and led a variety of specialty teams domestically and internationally, including in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. The central theme to all these efforts was the importance of effective communication. As part of his role in the FBI, Seale worked with researchers around the world to develop the U.S. Intelligence Community’s premier interviewing course.

Seale is the founder and principal consultant of Pyxis Academy and Pyxis Academy Coaching. For information, visit pyxisacademy.com.
