The Park Theatre will host the Downton Abbey Monadnock Celebration, a three-week festival from Sept. 11 to Oct. 2 marking the release of “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.” The upcoming film is the final chapter in the series.

The celebration begins with an advance screening on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m. Actor Hugh Bonneville, who plays Robert Crawley, recently partnered with The Park Theatre to record a promotional video for the event.

Highlights include a period dress contest on Saturday, Sept. 13, inviting guests to don Downton-inspired attire, and a butler’s tray race on Saturday, Sept. 20, where participants compete while carrying champagne trays. Local restaurants will feature themed menus, The Park Theatre’s bar will serve Downton martinis, and raffles and prizes will be offered throughout the run. Open-caption matinee screenings will be available each Wednesday.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $9 for seniors, children, students, teachers, and active military.
