The Gamma Epsilon chapter of the Sigma Zeta Math and Science National Honor Society at Franklin Pierce University held its annual induction ceremony on Friday, April 25. The chapter welcomed 11 new members and honored the graduating seniors.

The newly inducted members are Annika Furtado, Cassandra Shaw, David Talbot, Emilie Fox, Isabella Williams, Marisa Salinas, Molly Wiederhold, Paige Dymkoski, Rachel Strout, Rose Carter and Teresa Deasy. Chapter President Eva West, Secretary Alyssa Gosselin, College of Health and Natural Sciences Dean Mable Smith and Sigma Zeta Faculty adviser and associate professor of physics Rudra Aryal conducted the induction ceremony.

Franklin Pierce students, parents, and family members of the new inductees attended the event. Smith and Aryal congratulated the new members and shared their pride in the studentsโ€™ academic achievements and success.

The Gamma Epsilon chapter is committed to promoting honesty, ethical decision-making, community involvement and the pursuit of scientific knowledge for the benefit of all. The chapter regularly holds meetings to encourage and recognize scientific and intellectual excellence. Students often share their ongoing research at the chapterโ€™s roundtable research meetings, and members have the opportunity each year to present their research at Sigma Zetaโ€™s national convention.
