Steven Roberge of the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension will present “Future Proofing Your Landscape and Woodlot” on Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St.
Roberge will discuss the growing pressures on New Hampshire’s forests and trees, including invasive species, climate change, weather disturbances and natural cycles of growth and mortality. He will offer guidance for landowners on how to manage or simply observe their properties with long-term resilience in mind, encouraging participants to consider what they want their land to look like in the future and how to support healthy, adaptable ecosystems.
The talk is part of the library’s Natural NH Series and is free and open to the public. Parking is limited; attendees are encouraged to use the Depot Square or Riverwalk lots.
